ABOUT US
These pages are to inform Lions young and old. New members or those seeking to join Lions are encouraged to learn about the organization. Existing members are similarly urged to renew their understanding of the values and goals that all Lions share.
The Billings Lions Club
The Billings Lions Club is a member of Lions International - the world's largest service club organization. Lions in more than 46,000 clubs participate in service efforts spanning the globe. The fellowship and goodwill rising from their service to others makes the International Association of Lions Clubs a natural catalyst for international friendship and understanding among people everywhere.
The Billings Lions Club was chartered on November 16, 1921. It was the first Lions Club organized in what is now District #37 which includes most of Montana as well as a similar area across the border in Canada. The roster of the Billings Lions Club has varied from 40 to 170 individuals and has included many prominent citizens of the area.
The longest standing activity of the Club is the Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp which began in 1927. Sight and hearing assistance has been another long-term interest for the Club. The Charles Campbell Childrens Camp became an activity in 1965.
