The Billings Lions Club has two distinct camps. The oldest is the Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp and a relative upstart is the nearly forty year old Charles Campbell Childrens Camp.

The Lions Beartooth Mountain Youth Camp began in 1927 as the Billings Lions Camp. It is located 10 miles south of Red Lodge, Montana, just off of the scenic Beartooth Highway and a short distance (as the crow flies) from Yellowstone National Park. The camp provides semi-rustic facilities to groups of about a hundred people and primarily serves other youth-oriented organizations that don't have their own camp. The setting on the Lake Fork of Rock Creek adjacent to the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness is perfect for outdoor experiences for kids of all ages.

The Charles Campbell Childrens Camp is a week of adventure for kids with special needs and is our youth camp held at the facility described above. Braces, walkers and wheelchairs are common sights at the Campbell Camp as our handicapped "campers" do the outdoor things that all campers love. It also provides a special experience for the teen counselors that accompany and assist the campers. Lions provide the camp at no charge and take delight in the smiling faces and growth that we see each year. If you know of a special child that could benefit from this service, please be sure to have a parent contact us.
